The historic Shed 5 building and waterfront location creates the perfect setting for an unforgettable function
Shed 5 regularly hosts functions for groups from 15 to 200 guests, for all different reasons. There are three unique and beautiful spaces that can be used individually or combined to suit your gathering. Our experienced team can guide you through your next function, ensuring it will be a memorable one.
The private dining room
The private dining room is the perfect space for special occasion dining, corporate groups, small weddings or parties.
Beautiful large windows adorn the eastern side of the room offering your guests water views. The private dining room can be closed off to the rest of Shed 5 offering you an intimate feeling.
A minimum of 15 people is needed to reserve our private dining room and there is no hire fee or minimum spend.
It is often booked months in advance so we do recommend enquiring as soon as possible to secure your preferred date.
Available for exclusive use from 15 people seated.
Accommodates between 15 – 55 seated, & up to 80 standing.
The main restaurant
Decorated with crisp white tablecloths and sparkling tableware, the main restaurant is framed under dark-wood beams that offer a spacious dining experience. Beautiful large windows along the eastern side of the room offers your guests water views, while the semi open kitchen to the west creates atmosphere and excitement. The private dining room can open to the main restaurant for additional space.
The main restaurant is perfect for larger events such as weddings, corporate events, product launches, or any other special occasion.
For weddings, our dedicated team can flexibly cater to your special needs to ensure a truly memorable occasion.

Accommodates between 80 - 180, & up to 220 including the private dining room.
The bar
Our beautiful bar has recently been refurbished and is perfect for groups looking for something more casual. This area is warm and inviting, and offers a mix of low and high table seating.
When the sun is shining, Shed 5’s bar area expands to include an outdoor courtyard with views of Wellington Harbour.

Set menu
For your private dining occasion and groups larger than 15 we recommend our set price menus. Our menus can be tailored to your occasion, however we do have fixed menus in place for your group to take advantage of.
Our function menus include your choice of 2-3 courses, with bread and tea or coffee. We always offer a choice of three dishes for each course, so that every one of your guests can find something they love.
